Reisa and I are officially married! The wedding was one of the most special days of our lives. We are back from our honeymoon and back at the YWAM base in Kona. Thank you for supporting us financially as a couple! We are so grateful for your consistent giving.

Lately, I have been meditating on Psalm 27. The center of this Psalm is sandwiched between the worst of life’s circumstances: evil people trying to kill you, armies plotting to overthrow you, and parents abandoning you. Yet, right in the center of this Psalm and the center all of these terrible life circumstances, David says this:

One thing have I asked of the Lord,
    that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple.

David is experiencing turmoil in his finances, relationships, and kingdom. Yet, he asks only one thing of the Lord: That he would dwell with the Lord and that he would be with God. That he would gaze upon His beauty.
David knew that the relational presence of God himself was the one thing he needed.

David found something beautiful, and when you find something beautiful, you’ll never get tired of looking at it. I have been challenged and inspired to fight to behold the beauty of Jesus in my life every day.

“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” Romans 11:36

May we see how everything is from Jesus and points to Jesus.

We got married in Reisa’s beautiful hometown here in Kona. Thank you for all the prayers and extra giving during this huge life transition. The day was special and Jesus was glorified! Our wedding video is being made and I will attach it in a future newsletter.

We are back at the YWAM base in Kona sending 100’s of young people all over the world to share the gospel. Our YWAM campus strategically focuses on 5 regions: Central Asiathe Horn of AfricaSub-saharan Africathe Pacific Islands, and the Middle East. It is crazy to think that most of our students just graduated high school and will be sent to these places! These students could have went a more traditional route, but decided to leave everything they know, embark on a faith journey and raise finances, and dive head first into world missions. Reisa and I love being apart of this with YOU and love getting to prepare our students to GO.
