I am thankful that Easter comes at springtime after the cold gray of winter. But the winter of Covid has overshadowed a year of seasons, robbing us of friends and loved ones, keeping friendships at a painful distance, and dampening the sowing and reaping of all things good. Yet, we do not have to wait for Easter, the onset of spring, or the end of Covid for spiritual renewal, and we pray that the difficulties you have faced the last year have helped you realize even more the following truth:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
Thankfully, there seems to be a thaw in our Covid winter with a hint of better things to come. Myra and I recently celebrated our 30th anniversary. We are thankful for the years of love, our beautiful daughters, the adventure of seeking Christ and His kingdom together, as well as God’s abundant grace during difficult times.
